Lorretta Switt is a French nun who is caring for children who have been sent to her to get them away from Hitler's forces.

The story takes place at Christmas and Hanukah, showing the significance of both.

The movie shows the misconceptions that were commonly believed about the Jews, both the humanity and the lack thereof of the German officers, and the Providence of God in delivering some Jewish children from certain death at the hands of the Germans.

There is a death, but it is not graphic. It appears at the beginning of the movie.
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Liberty.
